It’s Complicated

It's Complicated

Sleeping with his friend’s little sister is probably off-limits. Getting her pregnant definitely is.

Tiana Hall has plans. She’s going to go to grad school, get a great job, and then find a man and start a family.

Ty Morgan leads a great bachelor life. He has a good job, a nice home, and the freedom to do whatever he wants.

So, the two of them are on the same page when it comes to an evening of hot sex at her brother’s wedding. One night. No commitments. Simple…as long as her brother doesn’t find out.

Except this one night is about to turn into the biggest commitment of all. And there’s nothing simple about telling your friend you knocked up her sister.

Relationship status: It’s Complicated.

Excerpt:

Tiana Hall hadn’t planned on flirting with her brother’s groomsman. After all, it was a bit cliché for a bridesmaid to hook-up with another member of the wedding party.

But there was something about Ty that was hard to resist. Maybe it was because she had a thing for older men. Maybe it was because she hadn’t had sex in a long time. Maybe it was because she had a little too much to drink at the reception. Or maybe it was because sometimes a woman simply needed a long fuck after a long night. Either way, Tiana knew that before the evening ended, she was going to be coming all over Ty Morgan’s cock.

Tiana got in place in the processional next to Ty. Her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Piper, was in the front with her mom. Piper’s father had passed away, so her mother was giving her away.

Then it was Piper’s cousin, Cindy, the maid-of-honor, who was walking down the aisle with Luke, the groom’s best man and best friend.

Then at the end it was Tiana, the groom’s sister, and Ty, her brother’s friend.

“Are you ready for this?” Tiana asked him.

He scratched his chin sardonically. “I don’t know. We only walked down the aisle three times last night. What if I accidently steer right or left?” His dark brown eyes glistened with humor, and Tiana smiled.

She wouldn’t have been able to resist returning his grin if she’d wanted to. Ty Morgan was one fine black man. Older black man. At twenty-four, Tiana always found men in their thirties sexier than guys her own age. Ty was around her brother, Nate’s, age, maybe a little older, and Nate was nine years older than her.

“It’s a good thing I’ll be holding onto your arm,” she told him. “I’ll make sure you walk in a straight line,” she teased him.

“Good.” He looked into her eyes. “Maybe you can help me walk in a straight line after the wedding reception, too. I have a feeling your brother’s going to fill me with drinks.”

Tiana played it cool. “Does this mean you’re not going to ditch me at the reception?” she asked casually.

“Of course not.”

The music started playing in the chapel and the words, “All rise,” could be heard through the double doors.

Ty leaned down closer to her ear. “You are my date after all, right? That’s what walking down the aisle together means.”

Tiana turned her head and their faces were inches apart. She sucked in a breath and swallowed. “I don’t think that’s an official rule.” She pointed to the couple in front of them. “Luke is married to someone else.”

The corner of Ty’s mouth lifted. “Then let’s make it our rule. You’re my date tonight.” He held out his arm as the doors to the chapel opened.

She slipped her hand in the crook of his elbow. “You got yourself a deal.”

The wedding was short and beautiful. Her brother looked especially handsome in his tux and her new sister-in-law looked beautiful in her wedding gown. No one could tell that she was five months pregnant, even though the two of them weren’t keeping it a secret.

They had just finished dinner, and the tables were being cleared away to make room for the dance. Tiana excused herself from the rest of the wedding party and headed for the bar. Piper was sweet, but Tiana didn’t know her very well.

“White wine, please,” Tiana told the bartender.

“You weren’t trying to ditch me, were you?” a deep voice said from behind her.

She looked over her shoulder and tilted her head. “I thought you’d ditched me. You left the table and didn’t come back.”

“Never,” he said. “I was waiting for you to finish.”

“Waiting for me to finish, huh?” She put a little sultry tone into her voice so he knew she was referring to sex. “What a gentleman.”

Tiana hear the clink of her glass hitting the bar, so turned away from Ty to grab it.

“Whiskey. Neat,” he said to the bartender. Then she felt him move closer, and his breath fanned over her ear. “If you play your cards right, you’ll find out how many times I let you finish before me.”

Tiana’s breath got stuck in her throat as the area between her legs practically caught on fire. She composed herself and turned around.

“If you play your cards right, maybe, just maybe, I’ll be the one letting you find out if you can get me to finish before you.” She took a sip of her wine, gave him a wink, and walked away.

“Challenge accepted,” she heard him say behind her.

Tiana grinned all the way to the dance floor.
